Deleting your account

You can delete your Trainoro account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. You do not have to write to us, and there is no waiting period.

Delete your account in the app

Open Trainoro and sign in.
Go to Profile.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm with Delete permanently.

The deletion runs immediately. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account afterwards.

What is deleted

Your sign-in — e-mail address and password.
Your account record: display name, username, profile picture and your training profile (age, height, playing hand, skill level), together with everything stored beneath it, including the push notification tokens of your devices.
Your username reservation, so the name becomes available to other people again.
Your profile picture in the file storage.
Your membership of your club and of every team within it.
Your reactions on club news posts.
Everything on this device: recorded videos, analyses and captured frames, drill and fitness sessions, racket configurations, game scores, AI chat history, your settings and your OpenAI API key.

What stays, and why

Chat messages and news posts you wrote remain in your club, but your name on them is replaced by "Deleted user" and they are no longer linked to you.

A team chat is a shared record that the other members rely on; removing one person’s messages would tear holes in everyone else’s conversations. Erasure under the GDPR is satisfied by severing the link to the person — the name goes, the text stays.

The anonymous usage statistics described in section 15 of the Privacy Policy are not affected, and cannot be: they are plain totals with no identifier attached, so there is nothing in them that belongs to you or could be found and removed.

Text that the optional AI features sent to OpenAI is subject to OpenAI’s own retention policy and cannot be deleted from within Trainoro. To exercise your rights there, contact OpenAI directly using the account whose API key you used.

If you are the admin of a club

A club is never left without an admin. If you are its only admin and other members remain, the longest-standing member becomes admin as you leave. If you are the last member, the club and everything in it — teams, chats, news, seasons, matches and photos — is deleted along with your account. The app warns you about this before you confirm.

If you can no longer sign in

Write to info@trainoro.de from the e-mail address you registered with and we will delete the account for you. We answer erasure requests within one month, as required by Art. 12(3) GDPR.

Uninstalling is not the same thing

Removing the app deletes the data on your phone, but your account and your club data stay on the server. If you want both gone, delete the account first and then uninstall.
